Wildhood Philosophy

Wildhood School was created as an offering in reverence to everything childhood is meant to be. Here, we create space for little ones to be little. To play, imagine, and dream. To sing at the top of their lungs and move freely, without fear or judgment. We honor each child’s natural curiosity and encourage them to follow what sparks their excitement and wonder. We believe every child deserves to feel seen, valued, and at home within their community.

Our vibrant community is the heart of Wildhood School. We believe the relationships that surround a child shape how they come to see themselves and the world. When children are guided by trusted, present adults—who listen, encourage, and believe in them—they grow into a deep sense of belonging and possibility.

We believe parents are a child’s most impactful teacher, and that early education is most meaningful when it can be shared between parent and child. Our program is designed as a partnership between educator and caregiver, with parents attending and participating alongside their children. Our family-first approach welcomes younger siblings as well, creating a space that begins to feel like a modern-day village.

In the spirit of the village, our educators are part of this rhythm too. At times, some teachers may have their own children alongside them, learning and growing within the group. Our educators hold the space with care and intention, thoughtfully balancing their role as both guide and caregiver. This approach supports mixed-age connection, nurtures empathy, and allows children to experience a deeper sense of belonging within a relational community.

Our educators are chosen not only for their experience, but for the heart they bring to their work. They gently guide curiosity, nurture imagination, and create space for each child to unfold in their own way.

Through seasonal rhythms, song, movement, storytelling, and free play, children are immersed in a learning experience that feels alive and meaningful. Beyond our classes, we gather for seasonal celebrations and shared experiences that deepen connection and cultivate a true sense of village.

Where families weave together and children are joyously free to grow.
