Chickadees (0-18 months) Winter Session / 10 Weekly Classes
Our Chickadees Program is designed for our youngest children, ages 0 to 18 months, and their caregivers. This class offers a gentle introduction to rhythm, exploration of the natural world, and heartfelt community. Here we create a soft and supportive space for our babies and for the adults who care for them.
Our Winter 2027 Chickadees program will meet for ten consecutive Tuesdays from January 12th through March 16th, from 9:00am-10:00am at a beautiful 27 acre private property featuring two creeks and a large pond in Boulder, CO with access to an indoor gathering space for inclement weather.
Because nap schedules can vary so widely for children ages 0–18 months, we are open to adjusting the class time based on the needs of our enrolled families. Please feel free to share your preferred timing when you reach out or register.
In this early season of life, so much is unfolding beneath the surface. Our Chickadees class honors the pace of infancy and early toddlerhood, offering a calm and nurturing environment where babies can observe, explore, and begin to experience the world alongside their caregivers.
Each session is intentionally capped at 16 children maximum to preserve a sense of intimacy and connection among families.
Our sessions are guided by Wildhood School’s founder and lead teacher, Kayla Hash. With a warm and playful presence, she creates an environment where both babies and caregivers feel welcomed, celebrated, and at ease.
Our time together follows a simple and consistent flow, rooted in seasonal rhythms and gentle sensory experiences rooted in nature.
Gatherings typically include:
– Circle time with simple songs, story, and movement
– Sensory-rich, open-ended exploration of our natural surroundings
– Spacious opportunity for connection and play
At this stage, babies are developing a sense of safety, trust, and belonging. The Chickadees class centers the caregiver-child bond, offering opportunities for closeness, attunement, and shared experience in a peaceful and welcoming environment.
Caregivers remain an active and essential part of the experience throughout. In the spirit of our family-first approach, siblings are always welcome and if actively participating in the program can be receive reduced tuition. We believe in supporting families being together and embracing the presence of each child within them.
