Curious about Wildhood School? Connect with us at our free Morning Light Children’s Circle on Fridays at 11 at Waneka Lake Park!
Our Sparrows Program is designed for children ages 18 months to 3 years and their caregivers. This class builds upon the foundation of our Chickadees program, offering a rhythm that supports both growing autonomy and continued connection for young children stepping into early independence. For those beginning to reach, explore, and engage more fully with the world around them.
Our Sparrow’s Winter 2027 Program will meet on Wednesdays for 10 consecutive weeks starting January 13th and closing on March 17th. Our classes will run from 9:30am-10:30am on a beautiful property with two creeks, a large pond, and access to an indoor gathering space in Boulder, CO.
Capacity is limited to keep an intimate container with a maximum of 16 children in each cohort.
Our time together follows a simple, consistent flow, rooted in seasonal rhythms, wholesome values, and connection to the natural world.
Gatherings will typically include:
– Circle time with song + movement
– Storytelling
– Nature walks and outdoor exploration
– Spacious time for free play and connection
At this stage, children are alive with curiosity, movement, and imagination. Our Sparrows class offers space for them to explore with increasing confidence, while still returning to the security of a familiar rhythm and the presence of a trusted caregiver.
Caregivers remain an active and essential part of their child’s experience, while also being gently supported in allowing their children moments of independence within a safe and nurturing environment. In the spirit of our family-first approach, younger siblings are always welcome to attend with caregivers and if actively participating in the program can be receive reduced tuition. We honor the natural rhythm of family life and hold space for the each child within it.
